Airlines routinely update their schedules, so it's not uncommon to have a flight change in advance of your departure. This change can be classed as a minor or major flight change. In some cases, it may result in a change to your departure date or a cancellation of the flight altogether.
We understand that changes to your booking can be stressful, so we are here to support you as your ATOL protected holiday provider.
What are my options?
Provisional change
If your flights have been changed, you'll receive an email directly from Ryanair
outlining your options.
If you haven't received an email, it's possible that your change is provisional. This means the change isn't confirmed and the times shown could revert to the times originally booked. As soon as we receive official confirmation, we'll be in touch with your options.
Accepting a flight change
If you receive an email notification from Ryanair, your dates of travel haven't
changed and you're happy with your new flight details, you can sit back and relax
- no need to contact us! We'll update your flight details, transfers and perks
if applicable and send you a new booking confirmation.
If you have the option to accept a change which changes your travel dates, please let us know before going ahead and confirming with Ryanair. We'll need to check your hotel can accommodate your new dates before accepting. You can inform us by logging into your Sunshine account and selecting 'Update flight.' Here, you'll be able to fill out a form advising us of your new dates - our specialised team will then check your hotel can accommodate your stay.
Please note, extending your holiday duration may incur an additional charge, if this is the case we will be in touch before amending your booking.
Choosing a new Ryanair flight
When Ryanair change or cancel your flight, you're entitled to change to the next
available flight on the same route, or to a flight departing one day before or
one day after. Ryanair won't charge you any fees to make this change, and you
don't have to pay any fare difference. To do this you can live chat Ryanair by
logging into your Ryanair account, selecting 'help' and clicking on the chat
icon.
Please note, before accepting a flight on alternative dates, let us know so we can check your hotel is available.
Choosing a flight with an alternative airline
If a change has made your flight eligible for a refund and you're interested
in a flight with another airline, please let us know by logging into your Sunshine account and selecting 'Update flight.'
Please note additional charges may occur depending on the flight you have chosen, we will be in touch before amending your booking if this is the case.
Requesting a refund
If you no longer wish to travel, you can choose to cancel your flight altogether
and request a refund. When you choose the refund option, your hotel, transfers,
and any extras you've booked will also be refunded since the flight change isn't
your choice.
Just a quick note: ATOL protection, insurance, and any extra charges that have been added to your booking since you made it aren't refundable.
To cancel your booking, please log into your Sunshine account, selecting 'View and Manage flight' then 'Manage Flight Booking', you can then click through to 'My flight was changed or cancelled and I'm eligible for a refund', we will cancel your booking and issue a refund within 14 days.
