My passport is due to expire soon - can I still travel?

Checking if your passport is ready for the beach can feel a bit daunting, but don't worry — we've got the lowdown. ☀️

🕒 Check your validity

Most destinations want you to have between 3 and 6 months of validity left on your passport from the day you plan to come home. Every country is a bit different, so it's a great idea to check the specific requirements for your destination on the GOV.UK website right here.

🇪🇺 Travelling to Europe?

Since the UK left the European Union, the rules for travelling to Europe have changed a little. You'll need to make sure of the following:

  1. The 10-year rule: Your passport must have been issued within the last 10 years.

  2. The 3-month rule: You must have at least 3 months of validity left on the day you plan to leave the country you're visiting.

💡 Top Tip: Don't leave it late!

Passport renewals are still taking a bit of time because everyone is as eager as you are to get to the sun! To avoid any pre-holiday panic, we recommend checking your expiry date now. If you're running low on time, start that renewal process well in advance.

We really, really want to get you to that beach, so it's always better to be safe than sorry! 🏖️
